John Mehno writes for the Beaver County/Allegheny Times, the Altoona Mirror, and the Uniontown Herald-Standard, covering the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He has written for the AP and UPI, in addition to contributing to Pittsburgh area sports talk radio. He hasn't missed a home Pirates game since 1976. Mehno lives in western Pennsylvania.
