CJ "Charlie" Houy is a veteran of Washington, DC, having served for thirty years on the staff of the Senate Appropriations Committee. Senators praised him in the Congressional Record as "a model of responsible and enlightened public service" and "a consummate expert on defense issues." He is a recipient of several honors and awards, including the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. He is also the author of three novels of political intrigue: Vigilante Politics (2017), Senate Intelligence (2019), and Shoot the Staff (2020). Vigilante Politics was listed as one of the 100 Best Politics Books of All Time by Bookauthority.org. Charlie spends his time in the Central Coast community of Pacific Grove, California.
