Peretz P. Friedmannis the François-Xavier Bagnoud Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a former Editor-in-Chief of theAIAA Journal, and was awarded the 2022 Reed Aeronautics Award ¿ the highest honor bestowed by AIAA for notable achievements in aeronautics ¿ as well as the Alexander Klemin Award, the highest honor bestowed by the VFS for advancing the field of vertical flight aeronautics. He is a Fellow of AIAA and an Honorary Fellow of VFS.
