In depicting the past lives of New Zealand born Kate, Soldier Sailor Lover Slave represents a unique deviation from traditional memoirs. Spanning time and space, the novel recounts nine individuals whose compelling stories connect through sorrow.
Literature's everyday main character will successfully live through trials and tribulations, securing a happy ending. In Soldier Sailor Lover Slave , readers come to expect less good fortune, but with every tragic conclusion, we're reminded that the path of existence stretches on, and true felicity waits for us all-if not in this age, the next.

Autorenporträt
Lilla Holt is a New Zealand author who has self-published three novels; her latest, Soldier Sailor Lover Slave published under her maiden name, E F Holt. She has also self-published a collection of children's stories, which she invites you to view on her website picketybooks.com. In her teenage years she wrote limericks with dark humour in birthday cards for friends and family, which delivered a few laughs. The author grew up on a beautiful sheep farm in the far north of NZ, enjoying all the wonderful experiences and freedom of the great outdoors. Apart from enjoying her love of writing, she has dabbled in artistic painting, completing portraits for family and friends, as well as creating "quiet books" for her grandchildren. The concept of reincarnation fascinates her. She has read books written by Dr. Brian Weiss, Dr. Ian Stevenson, Edgar Cayce, and Shakti Gawain, but her favourite and most influential are the Seth Books written by Jane Roberts. Lilla is responsible for three adult children and four beautiful grandchildren.
