While growing up as a "preachers kid" in Iowa and Illinois, JudyAnn Krell Morse cultivated a strong faith in God. She served one year in Alaska as an American Baptist Home Missionary, and fourteen years on staff at a religious convention grounds. Her written devotions have appeared in The Secret Place; presently she is the pastor of a small congregation in downtown Burlington, Iowa, a position she has held for eighteen years. Married, she is the mother of eight grown children and step-children.
