David John Baird was born in Sydney, Australia. He has practiced law for over 30 years and has continued his career as a consultant and director of an Australian public company. He served in the armed forces, was the manager of a rock 'n' roll band and a part-time lecturer at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He still lives in Sydney, Australia, overlooking the magical Sydney Harbour.
