Autorenporträt
We are encouraged to read to our children from the time they are born. As I read simple books with simple concepts and simple thoughts, I was inspired by my son to do more. I wanted to show him my interest in not only reading and spending time with him, but by going a step further. The motivation for Ryder-Saur Rex came from watching my son as he held a dinosaur on top of a truck and began chasing a flying dragon. His instinct for knowing how to create different characters adapting and playing together is much more complex then we often give our children credit for. When I discussed my thoughts with a longtime friend, who has a son the same age, we were encouraged to create something special for our boys. This book is not only a message of acceptance, but also of inspiration.
