Pilasande Dotyeni was born and raised at Cape Hermes Hotel during the early eighties. During his early years at this prestigious hotel, he met and mingled with many people from all over the world. Some of those people included famous movie actors, politicians, and many more high-profile people. Of most importance, he befriended and made memories with some of the most ordinary people who have ever set foot on the hotel footsteps. He was raised by the staff and management of Cape Hermes as a beloved son to all. Whilst residing at the manager's accommodation with his parents, Pilasande made timeless memories with a great deal of visitors and workers alike. He is most likely one of the very few people in the world alive today who experienced the longest "vacation" that the timeless hotel in Port St. John's offered. Pilasande was popularly known as Sande, a nickname his mother gave to him as a toddler and soon became popular throughout his earlier years and later on to his adult life. Sande is now married and residing in East London. A former student of the well-recognized Umtata High School, where Sande first developed his passion for the arts. He is a poet at heart and a hopeless romantic. He married his wife, Tamara, in 2013, and at his wedding, he had as part of his dignified guests his childhood friends from years well lived in Port St. Johns's Cape Hermes Hotel, a paradise in Pondoland.
