Even before the events of 2020, we were in a time of frantic living.

Times like these give us a chance to refine our values.

What do we believe? How do we want to raise our children?

AN OPPORTUNITY!

Raising Wildflowers: Homeschooling at Ease in a Frantic Culture was 5 years in the making. This book is a literature review and resource for understanding the foundations of homeschooling and the effects of our current culture.

"Winter" shares the Riffe family's personal journey to homeschooling. Like many of you, this family faced challenges and many unknowns. Readers have an opportunity to re-evaluate their definition of education; an enhanced awareness of family priorities.

"Spring" is a guide to adding nature study and beautiful literature into our school days. Readers have the opportunity to better understand research on the effects of technology on our attention and how a new atmosphere can change negative outcomes.

"Summer" focuses on understanding ourselves and the backgrounds that make us who we are. How can we be healthier adults? Readers have an opportunity to think about who they want to be as homeschooling parents.

"Fall" concentrates on issues surrounding the homeschool routine, teenage years, college and our life after homeschooling. Readers will be provided with a structure for how to evaluate their homeschooling schedule throughout the years.

In "Living Stories" readers will hear from 20 moms (just like them) who answer a variety of questions about the homeschooling life.

There is no perfect analogy for educating children. The "Wildflower" was chosen as a reminder that God has already placed in our children His good plan; we are simply His garden assistants.
