Birgitta Christensen is an Oxford-based Danish/Icelandic author who writes books and articles. Her educational background is psychology and she has travelled six continents and experienced many different cultures and people. While living between Paris and New York, she, in her 'Dear All' emails to friends around the world, started making up stories about the raccoons in Central Park going with her to Paris and getting into a lot of trouble. Friends suggested to turn the stories into a children's book, and this is how Raccoons in Paris, about the cheeky little raccoons from New York, came to be.
