Using just a few words, these stories combine powerful imagery with compelling, high-concept themes to create snapshots of bigger, stranger worlds and inspire the reader.

Autorenporträt
T. R. Darling is an award-winning journalist from Michigan, USA. He started his career in radio before becoming a television news producer. He began writing microfiction as a way to explore his love for weird, creative stories while working long and unpredictable hours, and has since embraced the ultra-short format as a legitimate literary medium. The themes in Quiet Pine Trees are inspired by time spent in the deep forests of norther Michigan during his youth. Darling says all of his microfiction stories exist within a single narrative canon. @QuietPineTrees
