Autorenporträt
Prof Notes is based on Melissa S. Anderson's experiences as professor of higher education, graduate program coordinator, director of graduate studies, and associate dean of the Graduate School at the University of Minnesota. Most of Professor Anderson's research is in the areas of research integrity, scientific misconduct, the responsible conduct of research, international research collaborations and graduate education. In 2020, she was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for her work in these areas. She served five years as co-chair of the World Conference on Research Integrity and chaired the AAAS Committee on Scientific Freedom and Responsibility during its recent development of the AAAS Statement on Scientific Freedom and Responsibility. She was on the drafting teams for the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity which is used worldwide as the foundation for codes of research integrity, the Code of Ethics of the American Educational Research Association, and the Ethical Principles of the Association for the Study of Higher Education. She has been a member of numerous editorial boards as well as advisory boards for major surveys related to research integrity. Early in her career, she taught in the mathematics department at St. Olaf College. She is also an artist and poet.
