Television writer, Peter Wozniak, has returned to The Peaks - the country house in which he had experienced a trans-dimensional adventure the year previous and re-discovered his 'writing mojo' in the process - is once more enjoying literary success. But, as if on cue, his fiance, Janice Gale, discovers a ninth house in a row of only eight, and an entirely new adventure ensues: one that threatens not only Peter, Janice, and their friends, but civilisation itself.
