I'm Raymund Eich. I use my Middle American upbringing as a launchpad for journeys to the ends of the Universe. Growing up in the Midwest prepared me for my academic career, culminating with a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Rice University. It helps me help inventors prosper from their progress in medicine, biotechnology, and computer hardware. Above all, it inspires me to write science fiction and fantasy about ordinary people facing extraordinary wonders and terrors, battling enemies both foreign and domestic, and building better lives for themselves, their families, and their societies.
