David Beers is editor-in-chief at The Tyee. He started the publication in 2003 as an experiment in new ways of doing online journalism in the public interest. He has lived in Vancouver since 1991. andrea bennett is The Tyee's senior editor. bennett is based in the Ayjoo Mixw area of what is currently known as Powell River, B.C., where they enjoy baking, gardening and cold ocean swims.
