Autorenporträt
Lomar R. Foster grew up a typical American kid in a small town called Travelers rest S.C. He participated in all sports, but understood the difference between an athlete, and a student-athlete. He was taught this the old way by two loving parents, Jacob and Cleopatra Foster. They both made sure that he was kind, and respectful to every adult he encountered especially his teachers. He was 4 year letterman in football and maintained an A average in high school and received a full scholarship to the prestigious Wofford College where he earned a B.A. degree in Sociology. While at Wofford he realized his life goal of helping others. Before leaving Wofford College he began working with at-risk youth and continued to do so after graduation. His journey of service has taken him from group homes, to detention centers, middle and high schools. He has worked professionally as an alcohol and drug counselor for youth and adults, Assistant principal of a charter school and finally to a 15 year career as a social studies teacher holding a History and SS composite certifications for both middle and high school. His life is dedicated to helping young adults of all cultures, and races to be kind to one another, and always be their best. It is this journey that has led him to try to make this world a better place by molding the future teachers, lawyers, doctors etc. he has been blessed to work with into better human beings.
