Julie Nickerson has had poetry published in Little Ears magazine, and a short story published in The School Magazine. She is married, with two children, and lives in Brisbane. Pippa's Perfect Ponytail was her first published book.

Janine Dawson (Illustrator)
Janine Dawson worked backstage in theatre while she trained as a cartoon animator. Working for Hanna-Barbera, she lived and travelled all over the world - the US, Canada, Taiwan, Vietnam and India. She now lives in Sydney with her daughter Rosie and their cats. Janine has illustrated many children's books, including several in the Omnibus Solo range, the Dulcie and Dud books by Carol Ann Martin, the Lily Quench series, and the picture books Pudding and Chips and The Junkyard Dogs.
