This booklet wants to accompany you to the Shroud to help you experience this journey as a pilgrimage: an opportunity to renew the faith or to seek it, or simply to let you reflect with that face. In the booklet you will find some information to understand better the Shroud: the visible signs on the Cloth and its history, as well as other items related to the particular theme of this occasion which comes from the Archbishop of Turin and Pontifical Custodian of the Shroud—namely, “The Greatest Love”. You will be helped to reflect on this theme by reading some: discourses from the Popes; witnesses of Saints, Blesseds, and Venerables of the Piedmont Region who responded with their lives to the greatest Love; and passages of Scripture and from the liturgy. You can also discover some of the churches which have impacted the faith in this territory. Particular attention is given to two categories of people: young people, because this Exposition takes place in the Bicentennial year of the birth of Don Bosco who spent his entire life for them; and the suffering, because the image of the Shroud is an image of a Man who has suffered. Finally, you will find some references to the celebration of Masses, Confessions, and essential services of the Exposition.
