I grew up in Sweden and now live in New Zealand, where I divide my time between writing, and translating and editing medical research papers. I live just outside Napier, on a piece of land with thirty fruit trees, a large organic vegetable garden and roaming hens. Sometimes, particularly during the rampant spring growth, I seem to spend as much time on the ride-on mower as I do writing, but it provides time to develop the story I'm currently writing, so it's creative in a different way. I have, and have had, many varied interests apart from writing: diving and kayaking, skiing and gymnastics, art and making jam.
