Autorenporträt

Michael Timson was born in Leicester, England, in 1949. As a very young child he had a horrible experience, and though he survived it, it certainly shaped his personality. At Junior school, his teachers didn't think he would go very far academically, though that might have had something to do with his poor eyesight. But against all expectations he passed his eleven plus examinations, and followed his older brother to Grammar school. He left, age sixteen, having passed 5 'O' levels, and began his working life in the textile dyeing industry as a laboratory assistant. A 6 year part-time day release course didn't lead to the degree he'd hoped to obtain, though he did obtain passes in Ordinary and Higher National Certificates. Jobwise, he moved around a bit, managing laboratories for two large multinational chemical companies. Eventually he joined a small Midlands company that sold dyestuffs and chemicals. Diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyalitis, he eventually gave up his job, to lead a quieter life. His hobbies include renovating houses, playing bridge, travelling, and participating in/watching most sports. He currently lives with his partner James, in Dorset UK.
