Naval Air Station Patuxent River (NAS Pax River) played a crucial role in forging America,s naval air arm. Mark A. Chambers is a contract technical writer and editor for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. He is the author of three aviation history books, including Arcadia's Flight Research at NASA Langley Research Center. Mark also coauthored, with his father, a book focusing on radical aircraft and wind tunnels at NASA Langley. Additionally, he has written numerous articles for international aviation magazines and the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society.
