MARRIAGE IS SIMPLE

"Get married," they said. "Have a family," they said. I spent my entire childhood with marriage being paraded as a requirement to be considered successful, respected, and a productive member of society. But those same people never talked about WHY.

This book addresses the question of why getting married is so important, specifically to the right person -- even at a time when society has normalized divorce. Staying married for all the right reasons is powerful and liberating. When things get tough or boring, getting back to the basics of marriage is like getting to the root of a tree. It is what keeps you grounded and growing, ready to deal with life's storms.

Autorenporträt
My wife and I graduated from college, got married, and started living in South Korea in less than six months. We (1) barely know our new job, (2) had to learn to live with our new spouse, (3) were in a foreign country, culture, and language, (4) had NO family support system, and (5) were finding out how to live with this post-parents, post-college version of ourselves. That was ten years ago. Three kids later, we are still happily married.
