Teens Connor and Quinton navigate traditional parents, dramatic class differences, and an incredible paranormal dilemma.

British-born Connor Founders is a senior when his best friend drags him to a football game at their high school in Florida. Despite Connor's poor luck in the realm of romance, he catches the eye of the cheer captain, Paup High heartthrob, and, most importantly, into-guys Quinton Hansley. When Connor's hallway crush of four years winks, smiles, and slips him his phone number, Connor's world spins on its axis. But it utterly implodes when he discovers a doll in Quinton's possession linked to Connor's very physicality. Why would Quinton own that? And why does it look identical to Connor? As they navigate Quinton's firmly traditional parents, their dramatic class differences, and most importantly, their incredibly paranormal connection, the boys are forced to accept their new reality and open themselves up to this romantic but bizarre relationship. They'll find out how surrendering control puts young love to the test, and if vulnerability will make it or

break it.

Autorenporträt
Annika Singh is a sixteen-year-old self-published author of the novel Marionette from Austin, Texas. She's a picture-perfect-romance fanatic and watches the world through an idyllic lens. Annika has won first place in both the PBS kids writing competition and at her Badgerdog writing camp. And when she's not busy writing or reading love stories, she's practicing Howl's Moving Castle on the piano, coding a game with Python, or preparing for a Bharatnatyam-Indian classical style-dance performance. (Unsurprisingly, her favorite dance is a reenactment of two deities falling in love). Annika also has a knack for politics and debate and has won first and second place at tournaments. She's president of her Government program club and has won first place in three separate years during the club's state-wide conferences. In 2023, she was selected to participate in "Off the Shelf: Book Challenges, Bans and Promoting Inclusive Literature," a panel discussion hosted by the Anti-Defamation League and American Association of School Librarians. She combines social advocacy and romance into her first-ever novel, Marionette, reflecting two out of three of her most favorite things! (The third would be her precious maltipoo puppy, Shairoo.)
