The detective experiences strange dreams and visions as he takes in the full history, culture, and legends of the area while grappling with his attraction to his temporary partner. The arrogant killer mimics aspects of the original ripper case while leading the investigators down an increasingly difficult path. The detectives main clue is in the form of a multi-symbol brand applied to all his victims. They need to figure out how all the symbols relate to each other to discover the killer's motivation and stop the carnage. The story, including illustrations, stretches about 355 pages.

I finally had Time+Energy to devote to writing a story that I hope is entertaining and possibly mentally challenging to those who enjoy a good mystery. This is my third book. My first two involved Springheeled Jack in Curse of a Devil and The Bones of Jack. Five+ years of research and thought, waking in the middle of the night to enhance an idea, and unending editing went into the tale. I tried to include as many aspects of NOLA I could, including history, legends, and culture. My perception of the area, personal life experiences, and researched material went into this project. At some points it seemed I would never finish but now, I hope with it all down in text and illustrations, my mind can find some peace and a reader can escape into the world I created for some relaxing enjoyment.
