The first edition was published in September 1928 by Beijing Weiming Publishing and listed as one of the "e;Unnamed New Collection"e; of the author. The second edition was made in February 1929 and the third edition was made in Setember 1932 re-typesetted by Shanghai North New Press.It reproducts the childhood experience of an era giant, and criticizes the feudal education on children's oppression and bondage. It shows the deep feelings of missing old friends and teachers, searching for the cultural truth of saving the nation . This book is the prose collection of Lu Xun. It describes the life from countryside to city, from family to society, from home to abroad. It is the Spiritual course of Lu Xun.
