Author Philip E. Burrow, inspired by the positive reception of "Love, Stories of Love, Passion, and Hope, in early 2022 (ISBN 978-1-943007-93-6), created this collection of 40 new poems featuring various and far-reaching themes. The new themes include poems focused on Family, Inspiration, Life Experiences, Social Media, and War. A couple are included for their humor, as laughter should always be included in our lives.

A few Advance Readers commented that the black cover was not the best choice, as the prevailing tone of the book is mainly one of positivity, healing, and encouragement. To which I replied, "But it got your attention." My hope is that the dark cover will not unduly influence your decision to purchase or not purchase the book. I should mention that some of those who criticized the cover generously praised several of the poems. An important aspect of the book is that it's an example of a person putting out into the universe what they truly believe and have experienced -- with no concern about profit or criticism -- but only with hopes that it will benefit someone in some way and offer a memorable reading experience. I'm not a "green behind the ears" 25-year-old rewriting from what others have said, but a senior writing from his personal life experience and observation.

Autorenporträt
Philip is a former newspaper reporter, advertising salesman, and specialty newspaper publisher (antiques) turned book writer. Words and he have a history, and they've been on and off, hot and cold. They've had break-ups and make-ups. During all this, he's lived in Seagrove, Wilmington, Robbins, Raleigh, and Greensboro, all North Carolina towns, in that order. Then, being still young and dumb, and feeling practically invincible, he tried Richmond, VA, Phoenix, AZ, and Hot Lanta, Georgia, called Atlanta by some folks. Now, he's landed in Florida, close to a mouse with big ears.

He will read most any book EXCEPT fiction, including encyclopedias and dictionaries (well, a page or two every few years). That's a pity because multitudes love fiction and it's where the big money is, and he should be reading it to learn how to write it. That's okay, though, because enough money is enough when you really think about it.

Biographies, adventure stories, how-to's, histories, and art books stay the longest in his bookcases.
