The pony was Little Alf, a Shetland pony with dwarfism, and the girl, Hannah, who rescued him aged sixteen. From charity work and building a business together, they became constant companions, though there have been a few casualties along the way - mainly garden ornaments and the neighbours' vegetables.

Little Alf is a Shetland pony with dwarfism who loves the being out in the field, eating the neighbours vegetables and of course, his owner Hannah. Hannah Russell runs four companies as well as looking after her four horses and other animals. In 2016 she was shortlisted for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She lives in North Yorkshire.
