He was fortunate to lead the second hunting expedition to Mongolia after the Iron Curtain Fell. Mongolia was the second Communist Country after Russia.He has been a long time member of the Sierra Club and was a member of the "Mississippi Group" that organized the Mississippi Chapter. He was a long time member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation that supported The Mississippi Museum of Natural and served as its President for 2 consecutive years. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of Safari Club International, an International Hunting

and Conservation Organization, and also as a Regional Vice President. He served as President of the Mississippi Chapter of Safari Club International and has been a long time member of the Internal Professional Hunters Association.
