About the Author Katie is a graduate from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. While in college she spent six months studying at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba, Australia. Katie now lives in north central Nebraska and works as a secretary for her husband, Randy. They enjoy camping and snowmobiling with their two children and their dog, Snoopy. Katie has been writing for ten years and is only now publishing her works as the Lord leads her. About the Illustrator Shelly also lives in north central Nebraska. She attended the College of Technical Agriculture and works as an assistant and bookkeeper for an auto body shop. She has been drawing for years and is only now doing it professionally. Shelly enjoys kayaking with her two boys as well as hiking scenic mountain trails with her mom and aunt. Both Katie and Shelly are members of Faith Christian Fellowship church in Long Pine.
