My name is Crystal Shivers. Although I moved around a lot when I was younger, I grew up in the state of Georgia. I graduated from Thomson High School in a small city named Thomson, Ga. After graduating high school, I furthered my education by attending the Unsinkable Albany State University where I received my BA in Political Science. After having Karter, my daughter, I continued my education by attending Capella University, where I received my Master's in Clinical Psychology. I am currently a Special Educations teacher. I not only teach an exceptional group of students, but I learn from them everyday. I wrote this story about my daughter, who even at such a young age, she has faced so many challenges, but through everything she is still an amazing little girl. Watching her grow has been one of the scariest, yet most inspirational experiences that I have ever had and I wanted to tell her story to hopefully inspire others.
