Autorenporträt
What makes a perfectly happy working woman give up a fulfilling job, a cozy home, and a lavish salary to accept a perceived demotion, a modest lifestyle, and a near-poverty-level income? In short: The Lord's call. Sometimes life doesn't proceed the way that we would have written the script. It didn't for Amy Kemp. As a type A woman from head to toe, she graduated with a master's in journalism from the University of Illinois and immediately began a career in the nonprofit sector. She had aspirations to attain the corner office with the title "executive director," but that dream and once-coveted professional title have diminished meaning now. Today she uses her writing and speaking skills to assist in various established ministries in the Midwest. Amy will tell you that accepting God's dreams for you and adopting His means to get there doesn't come easy. As a take-charge woman, the battle over wills is sometimes an aggressive one. She writes with the passion of a believer who is also a realist and one who admittedly struggles to live a life submitted to the Holy Spirit.
