Although the German state has failed in integrating guest workers from Turkey successfully in the 60s, they however place greater demands on Turkish immigrants today. This failure of the German state becomes visible in deficits especially in language and education among Turkish immigrants. This paper is about the requirement of “integration through education” and should demonstrate what the causes of educational deficits are. In addition, it attempts to display solutions in order to improve the educational situation for Turkish immigrants in Germany. Finally it tries to summarize the issue of integration by critical reflection.
