My name is Pontus Olsson and I am 24 years old and I come from the Nordic country Sweden. I have always been interested in sports, healthy eating and helping people. It all started at the age of six years old where I started to play football for five years. Then I moved on to another sport, which was free athletics, where my interest for running started to grow. I started to compete in the distance of 800 m where my personal record is 2:10 minutes. I was training free athletics for five years and then I decided to work out on my own, so I started to run all distances from 5 km to 42,2 km. I combined the running with strength training which I am still doing. My training goals for the year 2018 are to run a half marathon (21,1 km) under 1:20 hours, a marathon (42,2 km) under 3:05 hours and become stronger at the gym and stay as healthy as possible. My personal records in running are: 800 m (2:10 minutes), 5K (18:15 minutes), 10K (38:51 minutes), half marathon (1:23:57 hours, 30K (2:07:00 hours) and marathon (3:10:08 hours. The marathon, I have only run twice in my lifetime so far. When I was in the age of 14 years old, I wrote a very short book about healthy food for weight loss. I did not sell it, I was just very interesting in healthy foods. When I turned 15 years old, I started to study society with a focus on sport at high school. During this period of studying my interest of training, health and nutrition started to grow like crazy. When I decided to study at college, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, I wanted to study about health, training, nutrition and how the body works. So, I applied for an education called Health Science with a focus on Biomedical Sciences, this gave me, when I was 22 years old a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (180 credits). During this education, I also wrote an Examination Project Work in Health Science with the title "Is the human being affected in different ways by endurance training on fasting or non-fasting stomach in terms of physiological markers in the body?", I passed with Distinction at that Project.
