Douglas Scott MacGregor earned his law degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and a Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida. He has written more than 20 legal treatises, focusing on the law of common interest communities including Florida Condominium Law and Colorado Community Association Law. For many years, he has been the update author for two of the seminal works on common interest community law: Patrick J. Rohan, Home Owners Associations and Planned Unit Developments: Law and Practice (Matthew Bender) and Patrick J. Rohan & Melvin A. Reskin, Cooperative Housing Law and Practice (Mathew Bender). Mr. MacGregor has also been an update author for Appleman on Insurance Law (Matthew Bender) for over 20 years and in 2016 wrote the chapter for that treatise on flood insurance, the first comprehensive treatment of that topic to be published.
