Autorenporträt

Charles Kamasaki was the point person on immigration policy for the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), a Latino civil rights organization in the 1980s. He joined "The Group," a tiny coalition of lobbyists from Latino, civil liberties, legal, and religious organizations who first delayed, then shaped, and later helped implement this legislation. Mr. Kamasaki currently serves as Senior Cabinet Advisor, UnidosUS (Formerly NCLR), and is a Fellow at the Migration Policy Institute.
