Ian Jenkins was born and bred in Sheffield making him fluent in English and broad Yorkshire as well as not using 100 words when 10 will do. His recent retirement at the age of 55 allowed him more time to enjoy his love of sports, especially football, golf, cricket, cycling and open water swimming and to put into writing, in his unique self-deprecating humorous style, his experience of cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats.
