LT.-CDR. ANTHONY KENNETH MARTIENSSEN (1919-1984) was a South African born author and inventor of the Signaal Air Traffic Control System. He is also the author of Queen Catherine Parr (1973), a biography of the last of the six wives of King Henry VIII, and Crime and the Police, a survey of law enforcement in 1950s England, including case histories.
