She was born in Utah but moved around a lot when she was raised as an Air Force Brat. She raised a large family who has moved to other parts of the United States. She now lives in Arizona with her husband for many years.

Judy Barnes wrote the three books mentioned above. Although, she enjoys writing, she does not claim to be an expert in any field.She was born in Tooele, Utah, however, she was raised all over the United States and Okinawa before it became part of Japan. She lived in Alaska before it was a state. She has led a very interesting life. She was raised by her mother and step-father. Her step-father was in the Air Force most of the time, hence, she was labeled an Air Force Brat. She did a lot of reading while growing up, which led her to trying her hand at writing books.
