This book is about life renewal: a dynamic, inner change that affects one's quality and style of living as well as one's physical health.
How does it happen that some people diagnosed as terminally ill die, while others with the same diagnosis extend and even improve the quality of their lives and sometimes recover completely?
This question was the subject of scientific research for my doctoral dissertation, "Living or Dying: An Investigation of the Balance Point," and it is on this research that Healing Yourself: Understanding How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body is founded.

Produktbeschreibung
This book is about life renewal: a dynamic, inner change that affects one's quality and style of living as well as one's physical health.

How does it happen that some people diagnosed as terminally ill die, while others with the same diagnosis extend and even improve the quality of their lives and sometimes recover completely?

This question was the subject of scientific research for my doctoral dissertation, "Living or Dying: An Investigation of the Balance Point," and it is on this research that Healing Yourself: Understanding How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body is founded.

This book describes the life-extending and life-transforming patterns that emerged through a scientific investigation of the lives of six people who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and given a predicted date of death. The remarkable and fascinating recoveries or journeys to health of some of my clients are also described.

My research purpose was to discover the psychological dynamics that tip the balance point from dying to living when one is confronted with a physician's diagnosis of "hopeless" that is based solely on one's physical condition.

Although the six people interviewed had been diagnosed as terminally ill, the outstanding results of their actions are relevant for any of us with any illness, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. The ways in which they responded to their diagnoses dramatically affected their living or dying. Their examples provide us with a life-giving key-a key that opens the door to the potential we each posses for confronting, listening to, and overcoming illness. The open door introduces us to profound new vistas as we embark on a journey to health.
