My book tells different parts of things that occurred during my life. Some things are interpreted and other things are just thoughts. I guess you would say I have a variety of different situations, which would range from fiction, nonfiction, fantasies that I daydreamed about or imagined could happen one day. My book tells different parts of things that occurred during my life. Some things are interpreted and other things are just thoughts. I guess you would say I have a variety of different situations, which would range from fiction, nonfiction, fantasies that I daydreamed about or imagined could happen one day. I use different things in my poems to describe how my life is and was, some are happy and some are unhappy. There are several parts of my poems that in some way describe my feelings of when my mother passed away. I also included my experiences of when I lived in the projects, I could have been more graphic about the things I came across with some of the people I saw and the things they have, but that might have been a little too much to handle.

I also described one of my poems as a tiny monster with claws beneath the floors. That creature was a large rat, and that was a true story. My family and I had no choice but to live in that house, due to financial problems, because it possibly would have hurt my career if I left. Well, that's a short version of my poetry.

Autorenporträt
I was born Keith Allen Gilkey on March 11, 1962. I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and my mother's name was Mary Lou Gilkey. I met my wife, Melinda D. Gilkey (maiden name was Davis), in 1985, when I was in the United States Navy. She was a single mother of one, my son, Richard S. Davis. They lived in Jacksonville, Florida. I fell in love with her and her son, and we got married; nine months from that day and then a year later, we had my beautiful daughter. We named her Emma Victoria Gilkey. She was born on October 1, 1986. For my education, I have an associates of science degree, which I received in 1994, from Florida Technical College in Jacksonville, Florida. My course was computer electronics technology. I decided to take a different avenue from, and now I work as a civilian police officer for the Navy. I presently reside in Kingsland, Georgia, where I have been living for almost ten years. I have one last thing to write and that is I have a granddaughter by the name of Taylor Gloria Marie Davis, Well, that's me in a nutshell. I hope whoever reads my book enjoys the poems, God bless everyone.
