Katie Jarvis-Grove is from England and has been working in procurement for over 25 years. Katie has experience working for private, public, and third sector organizations and has bought primary, secondary, and tertiary goods and services. Her roles have included junior buyer, expeditor, buyer, category manager, procurement manager, consultant, and trainer. Throughout this 25 years, Katie has seen first-hand how purchasing has evolved into procurement and how ethics and sustainability are finally getting the attention and focus that they need. No longer is price the sole driving factor for procurement professionals when making decisions on which supplier to engage with.
