Produktbeschreibung
This book demonstrates the analytical solution of fundamental problems in heat transfer which covers conduction, convection, and radiation heat transfer. The analytical solution of heat transfer problems is described in a simple way which is easy to understand. This book also provides competence of solving fundamental heat transfer problems by analytical method which is particularly important to gain a strong background on heat transfer.

The book is an interdisciplinary heat transfer book which is useful for all academicians and students from different disciplines with different levels of mathematical knowledge. The book can be used as a core or supplementary textbook in undergraduate and graduate bridge courses. Furthermore, it is suitable for professional and vocational coursework for technology and engineering professionals.

Autorenporträt
Moghtada Mobedi is a professor of heat transfer in Mechanical Engineering Department, Shizuoka University in Japan. He received his Ph.D. from Middle East Technical University and worked in Mechanical Engineering Department of Izmir Institute of Technology in Turkey between 2003 and 2015. He has taught many bachelor, master, and Ph.D. courses such as heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics, conduction and convection heat transfer and numerical methods in Turkey, Japan, and also in European countries. His research interests include heat transfer enhancement, solid-liquid phase change, heat and mass transfer in porous media, adsorption heat pump, and computational fluid dynamics. He published more than 70 papers in international journals as well as 100 papers in national and international conferences. He wrote 6 book chapters on the applications of heat transfer in different edited books and recently he edited a book on solid-liquid thermal energy storage. He has leaded many projects funded by "State Planning Department of Turkey", "Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey", "Japan Society for the Promotion of Science", "Suzuki Foundation" to study on discovering innovative methods for heat transfer enhancement for single convection heat transfer, adsorbent beds as well as for solid-liquid phase change thermal storage. He has supervised many Ph.D. and master students both in Turkey and Japan.

Gamze GEDIZ ILIS has her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and has been working as an associate professor at Gebze Technical University, Turkey, since 2020. She conducted her Ph.D. study on heat and mass transfer on an adsorption heat pump. Additionally, she has a master's degree in Engineering Management. Her research areas are heat and mass transfer, adsorption heat pumps, transport phenomena in porous media, thermal storages, electric vehicles, and solar energy. She finished many projects supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology. She is still working with industrial partners from all around the world on heat transfer enhancement, adsorption chiller, electric vehicle thermal systems, and PV/T applications. Her career encompasses many years as a marketing specialist, innovation group engineer, an academician at the university, and an entrepreneur.
