Derived from a personal journey of marital infidelity, this devotional offers a process of how to get through to the other side of hurt WITH the spouse responsible for the hurt. In this devotional, you will find that genuine forgiveness is the solidifying element to the wholeness of living in freedom. Where there was once a fear to love freely while fighting through emotional triggers, to now living a life in a thriving marriage with no fear or constraints to love, receive love, and be in love. Overcoming the fear requires a willingness of complete surrender to whatever God's will is. Anyone can overcome the fear to love freely after the hurt that infidelity has caused. What if you discover that it was never about the infidelity, but all about God revealing His purpose for your life?

Michelle A. Smullen is a Hampton Roads native, born to her loving parents, Janet and Michael Andrews Sr. who are now resting in the arms of the Lord. She considers it an honor and pleasure to be the wife of her high school sweetheart and the mother of their two amazing children. For 22 years she has served professionally in various capacities of healthcare and it still brings her joyful fulfillment to help patients achieve their next level of being better. Michelle officially accepted her call into gospel ministry and was licensed on May 3, 2015. She also proudly serves as one of the youth mentors of the Chosen Generation Youth Ministry as her love for children is overwhelming and infectious. She is very grateful to labor among people who consider themselves a friend to all mankind. In 2018, Michelle received a Bachelor of Arts degree in ministry from the Center of Joy School of Ministry and in December 2019 she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from South University. She is passionately determined to continue to advocate for mental health wellness and suicide prevention, especially in the youth and young adult populations. Her desire is to improve the health of communities by bringing awareness to mental health illness and how it impacts overall health one life at a time. Addressing stigmas surrounding mental illness, recognizing and overcoming barriers to seeking treatment, incidence and prevalence, understanding the detrimental impact trauma can have on a person's life, and rebuilding the structure of "family" as a whole are all specific areas of interest that drive her commitment to cry out and sound the alarm on this public health crisis. As she continues to learn the relevance of informing, educating, and empowering people, the more she realizes how these elements influence the quality of life and the influence they have on one's perspective of how they live. With great joy and hope, Michelle embraces the vision that God gave her several years ago and in May 2019, she officially gave that vision a voice as she began her own work and birthed the SmiLe3.6.5., LLC movement. As the growth and development of this movement continues to evolve, women are learning to live their beauty from within, relationships are mending, marriages are enduring through difficult seasons, student athletes are conquering their challenges with anxiety, and the layers of shame, hurt, and guilt are being unveiled so that people can be free. At the core of SmiLe3.6.5. is one mission: Helping people find their reason to smile every day; creating & restoring a culture of joy." (Psalm 51:10-12) Michelle has found her purpose in the words of Isaiah 61:1-3. It was in the "perfect storm" of her life that she discovered that God has equipped her to proclaim His Word to bring hope and freedom to the hopeless; giving them a crown of beauty for their ashes, all for the glory of God. Unashamed and unapologetically she is a humble woman after God's own heart.
