Autorenporträt
Camila Perez is a Brazilian-American writer and illustrator who grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art History from Boston College, and then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Fashion Design from the Istituto Marangoni in Milan. She pursued a career in fashion internationally before transitioning into writing ten years ago, and has since delved into a range of literary niches. She has lived in eight countries and speaks five languages. When Camila became a mother eleven years ago storytelling became a treasure trove: the means by which she and her daughter found a common language to connect, explore and navigate all kinds of waters. Three years ago, Camila began writing and illustrating children's books. The tales she spins are born out of her search, experiences, challenges and insights. It is through storytelling that she has discovered how to make sense of the world and find her place in it. Camila currently lives in London with her eleven-year-old daughter.
