Autorenporträt

Clarence "Chip" Jewell, co-author of Arcadia's Images of America: Firefighting in Frederick, is the director of Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services for Frederick County and an instructor for the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute. He has served as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician for 36 years. In 1995, he was named to the Maryland State Fireman's Hall of Fame. His living history presentation on the early Frederick fire service is a favorite throughout Frederick County.
