Kingsley Osei's books have received awards from the Purple Dragonfly & Royal Dragonfly Book Awards; a Story Monsters Approved award, the NYC Big Book Awards, Moonbeam Books Awards, etc. Kingsley currently lives in the Bronx, serving as an elementary school teacher in Harlem. Before getting into the education field, Kingsley graduated and received a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the City College of New York. After that, to shake things up, he worked for various music and Hip-Hop publications, serving as editor and copy editor. Inspired by Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Langston Hughes, and Gwendolyn Brooks, Kingsley was always inspired as a youngster to make an impact through his writing.
