Despite the fact that this book was written 100 years ago, the author's views about the elimination of natural places still hold true today. An intriguing autobiography from 1918 describes a boy's childhood in the pampas (plains) of Argentina. The boy never loses his love for nature and eventually comes to have a mystical connection to it, despite engaging in all the cruel things young boys do while growing up in a remote area with older brothers. This book is the author's memoir from his time spent working in the fields of Argentina.
