don't friend me is a young adult novel about a group of teenaged friends who set up a fake social media profile for one of their own. It is a prank that quickly escalates and then spirals out of control when a post on the fake profile unwittingly goes viral. Best friends, Sophie and Mitch, find themselves on opposite sides of the ensuing drama and while they are forced to navigate the intense, sometimes brutal, nature of the high school social landscape in an attempt to reconnect, they become embroiled in a series of events with devastating consequences and from which they may never recover.

A Stage 4 English teaching program entitled 'Social Media Matters', is available to support this book.

Autorenporträt
Khyiah Angel is an author with a background in teaching. A bit of a tech geek, Khyiah became interested in the online behaviours of teenagers as she observed their interactions during a stint of a few years running writers' groups in a large Sydney high school. Khyiah currently works developing and delivering professional learning programs for teachers at MacICT and as a tutor in the School of Education at Macquarie University. Between researching, writing, and teaching, in her (very rare) spare time, Khyiah enjoys ocean swimming and reading.
