Autorenporträt

Born in Canada in 1949, his family moved to England f when he was an infant. Some of his childhood was spent at Barnardo's (a boy's home,) where he learnt a lot of Bible, without believing any of it. Much later, he became a Christian and has remained one since. At UEA he took a B.A in European Studies (History), learning Norwegian and focusing on Scandinavia. In 1973 he settled in Norway where he furthered his education, He took English and a Teaching Certificate at the University of Bergen. He married a Norwegian, and taught at Senior High School level for 33 years. iIn the meantime raised a family and took an Upper Master's Degree earning him the academic title "Lektor". His field of study was Christian Theology which he took at NLA University College. He wrote the first draft of his model for approaching the Problem of Evil in 1975.
