Rosa Lee Walker was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, to Felmer and Bernice Walker. Rosa is the eldest of her siblings. In May of 1962, after graduating from Carver High School in Brownsville, TN., she migrated to the city of New York which was her life-long dream. She worked as a nurse's aide for two years, then attended Central School for Practical Nursing, earning a Certificate of Completion in 1965. Three years later, she attended Queensborough Community College, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1970, with an Associate Degree in Science. She married the late Robert H. Walker, Jr. in 1971. During their matrimonial bliss, they dedicated three children to The Kingdom of God who are all strong in faith, baptized in Jesus' name, and attended Good Samaritan Apostolic Church. After the death of her husband in 1981, Rosa furthered her education. Answering God's call, Rosa became an evangelist after studying at Bethel Bible Institute in Jamaica, Queens, NY. She received a Certificate in Evangelism in 1982. She graduated from Empire State College with a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology in 1983. As an active member of the Good Samaritan Apostolic Church in Brooklyn, New York, she served in numerous capacities for more than 40 years. After retirement, Rosa returned to Brownsville, TN where she was ordained as a minister at Christ Temple Apostolic Church.
